Hello and welcome back! A lot has happened in the nearly two years since I've checked in on here. First and foremost, I've become a mom! I gave birth January 6th, 2025 at 12:31 pm to Eleanor Marie who clocked in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long. While on maternity leave from work, I've wanted several times to pop back in here as a way to document this new "Era" of life. (See what I did there?? A Tay gif and a reference all in the first paragraph! I'll try and stop there.) What a way to make a comeback than to jump right in by linking up with Andrea and Erika  for Friday Favorites. This has been a lifesaver during those middle of the night feedings when I need something to keep me awake and don't want to turn the light on to read. Happy Friday! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some of my favorites that have helped me get through summer so far! When e-readers came out, I fought and fought against one. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love reading and my dad insisted on getting me one for every holiday but I kept saying no. It wasn't until I traveled abroad and had limited space in my luggage that I gave in and tried one. I haven't looked back once! Ten years later and I got a new Kindle....the Paperwhite . The balcony at my apartment is finally finished and decorated so I've been sitting out on it more and knew I had a couple of beach trips planned and reading on the Kindle Fire is difficult with the glare from the sun. The Paperwhite makes reading outside so easy and the battery lasts forever! I didn't have to charge it once when I was in Mexico! I discovered this sunscreen last year and am OBSESSED! I've always known Trader Joe's was great for food but who knew ...

Happy Friday!! The weekend is almost here, we just have to make it through the day. This weekend is a big weekend over here, not only am I running a half marathon, but my boyfriend Stephen is running his first half marathon! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my Friday Favorites and in honor of the upcoming race, this post is dedicated to my favorite running things! I've only had these shorts a couple of weeks but they have quickly become a favorite of mine. So much so that after I wore them the first time, I went out and got them in another color. All my running shorts have to have a pocket so I can store my keys but these have TWO pockets!! The pockets are large enough that I can fit my phone into it so I don't have to worry about wearing my arm band. The price on these is great and they're from Old Navy so there's almost always a sale going on! For size reference, I had to go up a size.
